The Khmer Empire's area of land was really massive and is really uncontained making war happen and other sorts of issues destroying and making the Khmer Empire fall. the Khmer Empire expanded slowly at a time as they had issues to expand their area as many Disasters happened destroying parts of the area. The Khmer Empire had many different issues for to expand as they would need materials and different stuff to expand so they decided to trade. When they were trading they traded with friends and hostile and when they were trading the hostiles many stuff could have gone wrong as that made them have war or different issues.
